Inspiration Roundup 5.19.17
Another new week, another new series on the blog. I’ve always been a huge fan of weekly roundups on other bloggers’ sites so I thought I’d start my own.
This week I connected with so many awesome bloggers and business owners. These creatives seriously inspire me, and I think they’ll inspire you, too. None of these items are sponsored, I just love their stuff! Here’s what caught my attention this week.
I posted about this awesome subscription box on my Facebook page and Twitter account, but I wanted to share the service on here as well. Elizabeth Lively created this service that sends all woman-made “holistic beauty products and eco conscious accessories.” This subscription is basically like receiving seasonal self care in a box. While the service is a bit more expensive than Birchbox, I definitely think you’ll get more value out of this gift either for yourself or a loved one. Stay tuned later this June for a post on mindful giving! These gift are sourced from the East Coast and ship throughout North America from Canada.
Another amazing brand that is charitable and makes gorgeous products. The store hasn’t fully launched yet, but I’m too excited about the collection not to share. Krystal, the creator, donates 10% of her net profits to female-focused charities. And these shirts? I’m completely obsessed with them. Some of my faves are the OM OG tank, Sexy Mind tee, and Self Care is Soul Care tee. Check the shop out and I’m sure you’ll find something you love!
Okay, this one is a little self promotional, but I wrote a fun article for Femme & Fortune about my favorite Netflix shows. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Aziz Ansari (Parks & Rec is my all-time favorite show) and Master of None is amazing. You know how Lena Dunham’s character in Girls says she thinks she could be the voice of our generation? Well, I really think that title could go to Aziz. Find out what my four other faves are, too!
I recently came across Meg’s awesome blog, That Hummingbird Life, and it gives me goose bumps. Her content really speaks to the struggles of embracing the creative life. I’ve really been struggling with getting my blog to take off. It keeps me up at night, and I’m constantly thinking, “what if I’m not good enough?” This guide gave me such peace of mind, and Meg’s unicorn-loving personality sparkles through her words.
